A Few Firsts for Caleb

The blog is alive! Sorry I've been MIA, but I think I have a fairly good excuse...I just had a baby. It's a under statement when they tell you that having a baby is a lot of work. It's one thing to hear it and another to experience it. But, it's worth it!

Now, I'm left wondering where did January went and how can it already be February? I'll chalk it up to the baby time warp. Yup, baby time warp. I have discovered that there is this time warp with babies. It seems you have all the time in the world, but really you have no time at all. You just get sucked in and suddenly time has zipped past. I've been told by friends with kids that the days are long, but the years are fast. I can totally understand now.

So it comes as no surprise that Caleb is already a month old - 6 weeks tomorrow, actually! It's been an exciting, wonderful, tiring, <insert every emotion you can think of> month. Let me share some of it with you...

Caleb's first day in this world, January 2nd.

Caleb's first bath (at the hospital).

Bringing Caleb home from the hospital.

Caleb meets his grandparents.

Our first family walk including Asha!

Here's a few firsts - starting top left and going across. (1) Our first outing from the house. We went to Vif for breakfast. (2) My first shopping trip with Caleb. (3) Caleb's first church service. (4) His first burrito at Gorditos, which has a special "baby burrito" that size of your newborn. (5) Caleb first meets Asha. (6) My first time wearing Caleb with the Ergo carrier.

Some of Caleb's first visitors (unfortunately I don't have pictures of some of our other visitors - boo). Plus, our first visit to co-workers.

Caleb's first smile and first time noticing himself in a mirror. And a tummy time photo for fun.

The first month flew by!
